HEARING GOD THROUGH HIS PRESENCE

“You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” — Psalms 16:11

Sometimes you may hope to hear God’s voice as you go through your days; longing for Him to reveal His presence, and to know that He is with you.  While you are not expecting a dramatic entrance or a thundering voice from heaven, you would like to experience some sense of His presence.  You are longing for the “garden” experience where God comes and makes His presence know to you. The chorus from the hymn,  In the Garden, seems to be your soul’s needed anthem: “And He walks with me, and He talks with me, And He tells me I am His own; And the joy we share as we tarry there, None other has ever known. “
When David had these same feelings that God was distant he would begin to worship God, and through worship he then would begin to sense God’s presence.  It is through worship that we discover that God is there all of the time, loving us and, drawing us closer to Himself.
Prayer—Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me all the time and for making your presence known to me, in Jesus Name. Amen.
