Statement of Faith
We believe:
That the Bible was written by divinely inspired people
That the Word of God is the final authority for faith and practical living.
In the creation of humankind.
In the unity and trinity of God, eternally existing as three equal persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
In the virgin birth of Jesus Christ and in his full deity and full humanity.
In the sinfulness of people and the need for their salvation.
That Jesus Christ took the sins of the whole world unto himself, died, and rose from the dead, and is soon coming again.
That salvation is by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ
In the work of the Holy Spirit in salvation.
In water baptism as a symbolic identification of Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
In the presence, and power of the Holy Spirit at work in, and through the life of the believer.
In divine healing as provided by the atonement of Christ.
In the resurrection of the just, and the return of Jesus Christ.
In sanctification as a definite progressive work of grace.
In Hell and eternal retribution for the person who does not repent of their sins, and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
We believe that the most concise form of Christian doctrine is set forth in the Apostles’ Creed and that it expresses the fundamental essentials of the Christian faith. I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and buried. He descended into Hades. The third day He rose again from the dead, He ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God Almighty; from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the one universal and apostolic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and life everlasting.
