HEARING GOD THROUGH HIS CHARACTER

“I am the Lord, I do not change…”—Malachi 3:6

God often speaks to you through what He reveals about His character.  You may have heard of the expression “that your actions speak louder than your words”.   God reveals His character to us through His written Word, the Bible, and His living Word, Jesus, the Messiah.  The following are a few of the ways that God has revealed His character. -He revealed His character as the deliverer when He made a way for the children of Israel to cross through the red sea.- He revealed His character as Healer when He made the bitter waters of Mariah sweet and proclaimed He was the Healer.-He revealed His character of forgiveness when Jesus said to a woman caught in adultery, “woman where are your accusers…neither do I condemn you.”

 As you read the Bible, look for more ways that God is revealing His character to you.

The more you learn what God is like the more you will begin to recognize Him speaking.

 Whenever you see these characteristics in action in your daily life, you will know that

God is on the scene, and He is speaking in you and through you.

Prayer—Lord, help me to recognize that you are speaking to me and through me as your character is revealed to me, in Jesus Name. Amen.
