GAIN A PERSPECTIVE OF WHO YOU ARE

“What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?  For You have made him a little lower than the angels,  And You have crowned him with glory and honor.  You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet.”—Psalm 8:4-6
By reading our scripture verse for today and meditating on its truth, you will begin to have an understanding that God loves you.  His plan for you has not changed.  He has crowned you with glory and honor.
God has given you a crown—a symbol of victory, success and high achievement.  Our enemy does not want us to believe that we have the victory.  He wants to sow seeds of distress and unrest in our lives to keep us from believing that we are the over-comers, the victors, and the champions and that we are successful and achievers of the dreams that God has given to us.   The important truth of 1 Corinthians 15:57 becomes and reality when you say with all confidence,But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (emphasis added).”
Jesus Christ’s death, burial and resurrection restored the dominion that God had originally given to human-kind in the Garden of Eden.  Because Christ has given to the believer dominion, as a believer in Christ, you are the one in charge.  Satan and his cohorts no longer have the legal right to rule and reign in your life.  “If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen” 1 Peter 4:11(emphasis added).
Allow your perspective of who you are in Christ to grow, develop and get stronger, by mediating upon the truths of the gospel of who you are in Christ Jesus.  “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith” 1 John 5:4 (emphasis added).
Prayer—Heavenly Father, today I cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, those things that I have thought that do not agree with how You see me and what You think about me. I bring into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ and I ask You Lord to help me see myself as You see me, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
